New Army Battery raised at Tidworth in April 1915 & proceeded to France at the end of July & operated on the Somme front (with 48th Div.) throughout 1916 & the spring of 1917 when they supported the Canadian attack at Vimy Ridge, then in the Salient for Messines, after the second day of which battle this account closes (the writer presumably being a casualty of that event.) An informative day-to-day record including notes of officers & men who were casualties. Includes rolls of officers & sergeants who served with the Battery, roll of awards & Roll of Honour.
