Orig. blue cloth, titled in red, little rubbed & worn, near VG with attractive colour printed bookplate of Benjamin & Mary Fitzpatrick of jasmine Hill. Note: Jasmine Hill Gardens, Alabama, was established in the 1930s by the Fitzpatricks as an outdoor museum and botanical garden inspired by ancient Greek culture. Benjamin, grandson of Alabama governor and U.S. Senator Benjamin Fitzpatrick (1802-1869), owned a successful chain of retail stores across Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, allowing him and his wife to pursue their interest in this manner.
