Services; Medical; Veterinary; Signal Communications; Postal Arrangements; Labour; Ordnance; Scheme for Reporting Casualties; Instructions for Clearing the Battlefield [and burying the dead]; Instructions for Salvage, &c., demonstrating the detailed care & attention to these various aspects in planning a set-piece battle, together with accounts of the actual operations & lessons & recommendations resulting from theme. Much concerned with the Canadian Corps, & containing much interesting & unusual detail on the battle of Vimy Ridge in April 1917.
