Contemporary work on tactics by a French officer, translated & utilised by the Germans & the Allies, & to which historians such as Wynne ascribed great influence, although latter day scholars such as Robert Foley claim that the Germans were adopting the tactical developments advocated by Laffargue in their own right even prior to their discovery of his treatise.
