This edition supersedes that of 1918 & contains a "brief sketch of Indian History from Earliest Times up to the Present Day, in so far as it affects Dogras," also chapters on the Rajput States in the Punjab Hills, Classification & Geographical Distribution (of the Dogras); Religions, Customs & Religious Festivals, Characteristics & Recruiting. Appendices include List of Tribes enlisted as Dogras, List of some of the principal fairs in the Dogra Recruiting Area & Routes in the Dogra Recruiting Area. Folding maps of Staging Bungalows & Rest Houses in said Area + the Punjab Hills from Rawalpindi to Simla showing limits of the Recruiting Area. Much worming/insect damage, but generally sound & scarce: just 550 copies printed. Orig. printed boards with cloth backstrip.
