This volume continues & concludes the narratives of events at Cawnpore & Lucknow commenced in Vol. II, including several interesting appendices. Exceedingly rare source material utilising primary sources: the minutes of Courts of Inquiry, General Orders, correspondence & dispatches, plus detailed appendices & a very valuable annotated index. (The whole work, covering all the events of the Mutiny, was completed in four volumes: all are rare.) Later maroon cloth with black cloth lettering label to sp., VG thus & it cannot be emphasised enough how scarce this volume is in the original edition. See illustrations on our website.
