                     Memoirs originally published for private circulation in 1877. Jackson was commissioned in the 26th Ft. in 1811, shortly afterwards transferring to the Royal Staff Corps - "a superior service, the officers of which were expected to be acquainted with the duties of the QMG's Dept..." On QMG's Staff at Waterloo, employed in carrying despatches, recconnoitring roads &c. Later served on St. Helena. Orig. brown cloth, gilt, VG & rare. See illustration on our website.
