[HLMainPic] Rabjohn was a gifted commercial artist who was apprenticed to a Toronto engraving house before WW1, alongside his studies at the Ontario College of Art. He served in France & Flanders with the 123rd Bn. & as well as normal duties was employed as a signwriter as required - including painting the names & other details on wooden grave markers for fallen members of his unit. In later life he drew, entirely from meory, this remarkably detailed & appealing series of sketches to complement his wartime diary. Orig. dec, wraps., VG & scarce.   £65
