Formed in December 1940, this new armoured regiment trained as mechanised cavalry then landed in Sherman tanks on Gold Beach on D Day. Nine weeks later it was disbanded after heavy fighting & casualties. Excellent narrative with numerous contributions from members of the short-lived regiment, including the author. Roll of Honour, details of awards &c. VG in dw & scarce. £60
