Includes 35th Scinde & 36th Jacob's Horse (amalgamated 1921) in Afghanistan 1878-80, Maiwand &c.; WW1 France & Flanders 1914-18 (inc. Festubert, Ypres, Somme & Cambrai, Egypt & Palestine 1918; Mespot; Iraq 1920). Rolls of officers, awards, casualty statistics &c. Contains some valuable commentary including a critical account of the state of the Indian cavalry in 1914, noting that great improvement was made during the First World War, &c. Perkins 413. Orig. green cloth, gilt, VG with just a little marking to boards.
