[HLMainPic] Bertha Gavin ("Betty") Stevenson, a Y.M.C.A. driver based at Etaples and killed in an air raid on 30th May 1918, aged twenty-one, after two years in France, was born in 1896 and educated at a boarding school, St George's Wood, Haslemere, after which she studied music in Brussels. During the early part of the war she assisted a Belgian Refugees' Committee in Harrogate. She is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery. Contains a memoir and her letters together with appreciations from her colleagues. Orig. blue cloth, little rubbed & worn, overall VG.   £35
