Produced by participants from personal experience, soon after the event, the series forms an exceptionally interesting body of material on the working of the Army in WW2. This volume includes chapters on work of Pioneers & Labour; Veterinary & Remount Services; Dogs; Army Fire Service; Printing & Stationary Service; Army Postal Service, &c., both at Home & overseas. Orig. red cloth, titled in black, VG ex-AMOT (presented to AMOT by Maj. G. Tylden) with tipped-in letter from the author to the Speaker of the House of Commons, Rt. Hon. W.S. Morrison PC, MC, KC, MP, presenting him this copy as "you were Postmaster General during the War." (Note: William Shepherd Morrison, 1st Viscount Dunrossil, fought in Flanders in WW1 [MC] & was a long-serving & much admired Conservative politician who was, inter al, Minister of Food 1939-40 & Postmaster-General 1940-43).
