[HLMainPic] Memoirs of the Western Front. The author was Ed. Harrow, enlisted Sheffield City Bn. 1914, comm. 2/4th Hallamshires 1915 but found unfit in 1916 & became a recruiting officer in Doncaster, finally left to join the Hallamshires at the Front in August, served at Arras, Gavrelle &c. Orig. red cloth, titled in black, VG in worn dw (head of sp. with loss but neatly repaired). The short Foreword to this second edition states: "The first edition of this little book of memories was printed by my father's desire, & was for private circulation. It was so kindly received by my friends that I am now venturing to publish it, & in so doing I have added a chapter on my parents & made a few necessary alterations." Rare in any edition, especially in dw (illustrated with a portrait of the author in sheepskin jacket & Tommy's helmet). See illustrations on our website.   £165
