Stanley, MP, President of the Board of Trade, & compiled by an official of the Timber Supply Dept. together with an officer of the Corps. An informative & well illustrated account of the Corps from its beginnings early in 1916 when a battalion of Canadian lumbermen, named the 224th Canadian Forestry Battalion, was recruited for work in the forests of England, Scotland & France. The organisation was enlarged to include additional units & the CFC performed much valuable work in the UK & France in support on military operations.
