Volume I is an exceptionally detailed history with hundreds of photos., fine coloured maps. Served with 49th Div. in France & Flanders throughout the war inc. Neuve Chapelle, Ypres, Somme (Thiepval &c.), Arras, Passchendaele & Final Advance. Various rolls inc. complete roll of those who embarked with the bn. in April 1915 casualties, nominal rolls of officers & Warrant Officers who served in France, awards. Volume II also an exceptional bn. history with num. photos., fine coloured maps. France from Jan. 1917, 62nd (West Riding) Div., Bullecourt, Cambtai &c. & disbanded in France Jan. 1918.
